The Village of Patchogue was seeking a public art piece to honor an important local resident named Eloise Staudinger. Staudinger who was one of the first women to own a business in Patchogue, was extremely dedicated to building up her community. She has been described as tenacious in her efforts to beautify Main Street, and was nicknamed "The Flame." Being a woman owned business, Spirit Ironworks was honored to design and create an archway that embraced what she stood for. Hand forged tree branches and flowers adorn this beautiful archway. The repoussé flowers were made from copper with a custom enameled finish in purple, her favorite color. Village officials were elated with the final result.
